pertaining to genealogy, ie: finding marriage, birth, death records,
and family history

March/89 - Dec/96 G.U.S. Canada Inc. (Legare Furniture Store) 122 Water St., Campbellton, N.B. Position: General & Collections Clerk Duties: Cashier, responsible for balancing and daily deposits, petty cash,
stock keeping (Computerized). General office duties such as:
computer data entry, answering telephones, posting vouchers, faxing,
mail distribution and serving clients. As collection clerk my duties
included: Verifying and approving credit for prospective clients.
Keeping and using a diary to contact, through mail and telephone,
clients regarding their arrears, creating a record keeping system of client contacts and on a weekly basis visiting clients with delinquent
accounts at their homes. Placing accounts in small claims court and
following through to the court system, if need be.

Compiling and writing a detailed report of results for the New Brunswick

for the Restigouche area.

Verifying eligibility, setting up computerized file, following up
on issuance of monthly benefits, special needs, and councelling
clients. Interviewing clients daily, contacting clients by
telephone or through visits. Also in charge of Provincial
Hospital clients caseload.

compile necessary information, verify eligibility of clients and
issue first monthly benefit.

maintance officers and social workers. Greeted, screened and
refered clients to appropriate department. Received, opened and
distributed incoming mail and handled outgoing mail.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE Designed, did the research for the required information and presently hosting the Restigouche and Gloucester Counties GenWeb Internet sites, assisting-editor for the Provincial magazine NB Naturalist, member of the board of the provincial Federation of Naturalist, I was the secretary/treasurer, outtings committee chairman and in charge of public relations for the Restigouche Naturalist Club, treasurer of Campbellton's "Chaleur Ducks Unlimited Committee", former executive member of the Royal Canadian Legion - Campbellton Branch, past executive member of the Restigouche Philatellik Club and also was a board member of the Memorial Gardens Committee.
PERSONAL INFORMATION Perfectly bilingual, I have excellent oral and written skills in both official languages. Extensive computer experience with Windows 3.1 and Windows 95, data entry and highly developed internet knowledge. I've used Microsoft Office, Wordperfect 6.0, extensively. I work well unsupervised, excellent at troubleshooting. I am a very fast learner and have superb telephone skills. Hobbies: Genealogy and history research, naturalist, oil painting, photography and fishing.
